Newborn Kimono

How utterly adorable is this cute little Newborn Kimono?

Our lovely friend Helen is expecting and has whipped up this little beauty.  She has been very kind and let us borrow it so that we can all coo and sigh along with her!  There's something rather special about tiny handmade newborn clothes, is there not?

Helen used the very last of our Lotta Jansdotter Teal Birds fabric, but we think it would look equally gorgeous in Lotta's Orange Birds

...or her Edith Goodluck Green from her latest collection Follie ...

... or maybe Phyllida Coroneo's Fly Away Cross Stitch ...

... or even Tamara Kate's Helen's Garden Pollen ...

You could use the above fabric as a binding and use Essex Linen for the main fabric...

...to achieve a similar look to the original pattern Helen found by Molly on The Purl Bee by Purl Soho.

This free downloadable pattern is so gorgeous and Helen swears it's a doddle to put together!  If you make your own, please do share on our Facebook page and credit Purl Soho for the free pattern.

Is it worth having another baby just to have an excuse to make a few of these?????
