A perfect beginner’s dress making project! Designed with everyday wear in mind, Fen features a slightly boxy shape for a flattering, comfortable fit. The Fen Dress is a casual frock perfect for a day of gardening. A choose-your-own-adverture hemline means either version can be made with the ever so slight drop hem, or switched to included shirt-tail hem. The necklines can be interchanged and there are optional sleeves for endless variations! This printed pattern includes sizes 0-20.
In part 1 we will guide you through pattern preparation, cutting your fabric and will start to construct your dress and in part 2 we will show you how to sew with accurate hemming techniques.
The workshop includes a copy of the pattern for you to take away, refreshments and your tuition. Please note that you will need to bring your own fabric and thread to make your dress. We do have some equipment for you to use but before the class begins we will send you a pre-read which will include a list of everything you will need to bring with you.
Please bring along your sewing machine if you have one. If you don’t, no problem we can provide one but please let us know in advance. If bringing your own sewing machine please can we ask that you also bring along the manual.
