Join the lovely Emma Dann at the Make HQ Studio and learn how to construct this absolutely stunning quilt, designed by Emma herself.

Intermediate Level: Must know basics of sewing and quilt construction.

In this three part class you will taught about colour theory using design sheets and how it's used to create a completely unique quilt. All we ask is you bring along one inspirational fabric that you love (no solids) and we use this as a base for your design.

Finished Quilt measures 152cm x 122cm

Part 1: In the first session Emma will talk you through colour theory and design and you will go on to start block one.

Part 2: In the second session you will continue with the design and construsion of your first and second blocks. There will then be a 6 week gap in between classes to allow you to work on finishing off all your blocks using the same technique.

Part 3: In the third session you will come back with your completed top quilt and then Emma will talk you through different quilting designs to get you started.

You will be given a full instructions of the pattern, you will need a 1/4" foot, walking foot, rotary cutter and quilt ruler for this course. Please do not worry if you do not have these tools as we have plenty here at Fabric HQ that you can borrow but you will need these to continue at home.

Please bring along your sewing machine, if you don’t have one no problem we can provide one but please let make@fabrichq.co.uk know in advance. If bringing your own sewing machine please can we ask that you also bring along the manual. If you wish to borrow a sewing machine or sewing machine accessories there will be a returnable £10 cash deposit to be paid at the beginning of the workshop.
