Lydia Quilter shows you how to create a custom fitted basic pattern 'block' for an 'A' line skirt from which you can then create unlimited variations, guaranteed to fit your unique shape every time.
During this 4 part class, Lydia will cover the following areas of pattern cutting:
- How to measure yourself accurately
- Using your own measurements to map your pattern
- Turning your pattern 'map' into a working paper pattern
- Constructing a perfectly fitted calico toile, or muslin of your skirt.
Everything you need to know about basic pattern cutting is covered, giving you the confidence to create a bespoke skirt using a pattern that you know fits your own unique body shape. By the end of the last session you will have a sturdy cardboard pattern block, paper pattern and a perfectly fitted toile to take away with you and use again and again.
